Click Art Winners Announced

The Click Art Show presented by River Region Art Association was judged by James Byron, national photographic winner and teacher of photography techniques.  There were 71 exciting entries covering a vast array of subjects.  Ribbons and certificates were awarded to the winners at a reception for the artists on Jan 30 at the River Region Art Center in Gonzales..

 

Color Photography:  1st- Donald Hume for "Mating Season Egret"; 2nd- Donald Hume for "Mating Egret"; 3rd- Liz Achee for "Little Ram"; HM- Josie Young for "Butterfly"; HM- Donna Braud for "German Castle & Vineyards". 

Black & White Photography:  1st- Kim Braud for "Sleeping"; 2nd- Kitty Kuhnert for "Foggy Morn"; 3rd- John Robbins for "Grave Monument; HM-  Samantha Achee for "Zebra Trio". 

Digitally Enhanced Photography:  1st- Julie Parks for "Mission Impossible"; 2nd- Julie Parks for "Where the Living is Easy"; 3rd- Julie Parks for "Raccoon with Berries"; HM- Dalton Johnson for "Sitting on Mr. Go"; HM-  Dawn Broussard for "Little Red Shed". 

Youth Photography:  1st- Angelle Naquin for "Crowning Rainbow Bird"; 2nd- Angelle Naquin for "Bluye Buds"; 3rd- Angelle Naquin for "Komado"; HM- Lacey Bowman for "Plantcicle"; HM- Lacey Bowman for "Frozen Fonds". 

 

Community Art Show at the Mall

The Artists of River Region set up a "Food , Glorious Food" Art show at the Tanger Outlet Mall on Saturday, March 27 to spring into Art with food as the subject.  The art was glorious and so was the day.  Children enjoyed mural painting, face painting, and a Food Art Scavenger hunt throughout the Mall stores.  Music was provided by Gaynell Moore and prizes and giveaways were contributed by Harry & David and the Tanger Outlet Stores.  It was a great way to bring Community and Art together.  The People's Choice winner chosen by the shopper's at the Mall was Donna Marie Montagino.  The judges chose the following winners of the Art Show .
