River Region Art Association is a non-profit organization.
The purpose of River Region Art Association shall be to allow artists from all disciplines to work together to improve public awareness of all art forms. We associate to help individuals artists in whatever way they need, and to help promote the Arts in the community. We associate to help artists and communities to relate. Most of all, we associate to share the sheer joy of creating!
River Region Art Association was founded in 1993. Members are local Louisiana artists, and we currently have over 100 members. Most forms of art are represented in our Art Gallery. We are located in Gonzales, LA. Want to become a member? See the New Member section.
Houmas House Gallery now open! Our hours at Houmas House will be every day from 10AM to 5PM We will be located in the back of Houmas House Gift Shop. Please Check Houmas House website for their Hours Our Gallery in Gonzales is being renamed to River Region Community Art Center. Hours of operation: Thursdays and Saturdays from 10AM to 4PM

Scarecrows Swamp the Gardens Art Competition September 18 …Entry fee and Application due Oct 2 & Oct 3 …Scarecrows installed at Houmas House Oct 10 at 3:30 Prizes will be awarded at Awesome Art Fest This new and unique Art Competition involves both Youth and Adults as well as Businesses in creating three dimensional life sized Scarecrows dressed elaborately using artistic imagination! Individuals or groups such as Scouts, Cheerleaders, Church groups, Civic Groups, Schools, Teams, etc. may enter. Businesses may also enter to advertise their service to the community via the Scarecrows.
