River Region Community Art Classes
It’s time to register for the Community Art Classes beginning this month. Developed in partnership with River Parishes Community College, the non-credit classes are held in six-week sessions.
Fees are $75 RRAA members and $85 non-members. Session 1 is held between Sept. 9 – Oct. 19
“Still Life in Oil or Acrylic” – Mondays 6-8 pm
“Drawing the Head” – Tuesdays 6-8 pm
“Drawing & Acrylic Painting”– Wednesdays 6-8 pm
“Basic Drawing Skills” – Thursdays 6-8 pm
“ Intro to Cartoons & Comics” – Thursdays 6-8 pm “Beginning Digital Photography”- Thursdays 6-8 pm “Drawing & Painting” (ages 10-14) – Saturdays 10-12 “Collage for Teens”- Saturdays 10-12
“Collage for Adults”- Saturdays 1-3 pm

Awesome Art on Bayou Festival 2013

LA Hot Air Balloon Festival Children’s Art Village at the Lamar Dixon Complex
Sept. 27 from 10 am-7 pm & Sept. 28 from 3-7 pm RRAA volunteers are needed to help with art activities during this popular festival. Supplies provided. 3 hour shifts. Your chance to give back to the community for their support. To volunteer, contact JoAnn Eiswirth.
